Rewiring your mind to be confident can be instant this way

A friend of mine was a money-obsessed, jacked, ladies’ man for most of his twenties and thirties.

I was always impressed by his drive and pursuit of success.

But, seemingly overnight in his late thirties, he completely changed.

He told me he found Jesus, had stopped going to the gym, and chose to live a simple, almost monk-like life in Southeast Asia.

This is the power of a belief.

He reached a point where his belief in one strategy for a ‘happy life’ became totally replaced by another.

His belief in what was needed for him to be happy was flipped.

That’s what we’re all doing.

Looking for ways to be happier.

And we entertain beliefs (thoughts) about what we think is true that affect our behaviours.

In my friend’s mind, he used to think: money, stuff, and lots of women make me happy.

This eventually changed to: faith, a good wife and simplicity make me happy.

He’d found enough evidence to debunk his former belief, and enough evidence to prove that the updated belief was far preferable.
