Most people are somewhere else

She’s poking his tattoos again.

The couple two tables down from me are deep in conversation.

There’s chemistry.

I’m a little jealous.

He rolls his sleeve further up his arm, revealing what looks like an alien’s face.

She gasps with wide eyes, like she just witnessed a comet slam into a distant city.

She’s enchanted.

Many would say he’s attracting this young lady because of his tattoos.

Though they give a focal point for conversation, the attraction has far more to do with this dude’s presence.

He’s in the room with this woman. He’s not wondering whether he forgot to turn off his top left hob.

He’s there and he’s engaged.

That’s magnetic. It’s the presence that makes the connection work so well.

This is the power most people don’t realise they’ve lost.

People are more distracted and frazzled than ever, sucking life from their ability to stay present.

And it can’t be forced.

Presence is there for you, in the absence of overthinking and self-judgment.
