I recently made the public commitment to my YouTube subscribers that I’d be recording and sharing a daily video this year.
That’s a big commitment and has made me question my sanity in the last couple of days.
What was I thinking?
Today, I sat down on a park bench here in Poland to settle myself in to record another point-and-shoot talking video.
All morning I’d been thinking of excuses to make to my subscribers so I didn’t have to do it.
It all seemed so pointless.
I wasn’t excited at all.
I’ve already made over 360 videos. Why more?
What else could I possibly talk about that would bring value to people?
That’s when an idea struck me.
I’d talk about how I encourage myself when I can’t be assed to make content.
Yes, I know. It’s a bit meta. But here we are.
Knowing this one thing always re-energises me and helps me put out new stuff that I otherwise may have avoided sharing.
