Don’t be ignored. Here are 17 quick ways to improve your writing
Many people are frustrated by the lack of interest people seem to have in their writing.
Congratulations, bozo, you spent 2 hours and 47 minutes writing a post that got two likes — and one of them was from your mum.
Big woohoo.
I’ve written and published daily for 15 years.
Most of my work flopped.
My mum has still probably contributed the most likes.
(And trust me, I needed those).
But I learned a lot too.
Here are ways to increase the likelihood that people will stop, read, raise eyebrows and want to tell their friends:
> Stop trying to be a better ‘writer.’ Start trying to be a more honest human.
> Combine breathwork and writing.
Your writing is stunted because you’re not physically and mentally relaxed.
Use slow breathing to calm yourself and lift your spirits.
This will oxygenate your words.
> Work your way into a buzz of energy by free-writing absolute nonsense and other potentially cool ideas before you write for real real.
