I wrote my first book entirely in a legal pad when I was 24.
It was a 5,000-word book for creatives on how to promote themselves on the Internet.
I sold it as a $39 ebook, and I can’t tell you the joy I felt seeing little pings of sales show up in my inbox after it launched.
I envisioned travelling to Tokyo and staying in the best hotels there.
Though this didn’t come quite as quickly as I’d hoped, writing books has brought me a lot over the years.
I’ve now written eight books and am only just getting started.
I know you have a book in you.
We all have hundreds shelved away in our minds.
Here are some reasons to write your next book this year:
- Books build authority. It’s the fastest way to be seen as a credible expert.
- A book gives you an enormous sense of satisfaction. It builds confidence.
- It can be used as a way to quickly build email subscribers.
- They can be sold for passive income or turned into courses you sell at higher prices.
- You can give your book as a gift to key people who could become clients or help further your cause (while simultaneously understanding it).
